Our philosophy on giving
“Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops” Pro. 3:9
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matt. 6:21
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Cor. 9:6-7
The very essence of being a Christian is seeking to worship God in spirit and truth. Part of our worship is surely encompassed in our corporate praises, but it also includes the training of our minds to think as God thinks, and the training of our hearts to choose what God would choose. This certainly includes learning to honor God with our money. How is God honored with money? Our generous giving to the church ensures we are doing our part so that the kingdom of God may grow and be established. Giving is a very practical expression of our continuing trust that God is truly our provider and that He will always meet our needs. Finally, giving to the Kingdom encourages us to use our God-given resources in a way that is healthy and life-giving and not to the detriment of ourselves and others.
We so appreciate your generous support of Trail Christian Fellowship, and we understand that every gift to the church is your act of worship and the provision of God to this ministry. To this end, all funds are used to continue our work as a church through the staff and facility, as well as financially supporting strategic efforts to spread the Gospel message both locally and globally. There are several ways to financially support TCF, but no matter how you choose to give, we note all gifts and provide a year-end statement for your records and tax purposes. If you give cash and would like to receive a statement, please pick up a cash offering envelope at the information counter in the lobby, or stop by the church office during business hours.
